We’re the 1st Medical Concierge Service for Low Socioeconomic Communities and we need your help!
This leads to a lack of cultural competency, making it more difficult for doctors to take an intersectional approach when diagnosing and treating patients. As a result, the current state of healthcare in the U.S. has left its minority citizens confused and hopeless, uninsured, drowning in medical debt, traveling far distances for care, waiting months for appointments, and suffering from the life-threatening consequences of medical racism.
Black, Hispanic, and Native people need high-quality healthcare but don’t have the financial resources, transportation options, time, or knowledge to access it. Not to mention the lack of minority representation among practicing physicians in the medical field.
Our main fundraising objective is to build a sustainable operating budget of at least $2.2 million per year, which will be used for programming (providing our services to the community), hiring (this work is going to take a lot of man power), and advertising (so the communities we need to reach can know that we exist).
A few milestones we’d like to reach include: developing our mobile app, which will give our community members access to our BIPOC physician directory on-the-go, launching our Therapy Assistance Program, which will help cover therapy costs for more than 500 individuals per year, and most importantly, we can reach our ultimate goal of providing individuals and families with medical bill relief.
Not only can this be a time-saver for busy single-parent households, but the helping hand someone needs if they’re anxious about getting issues checked out. We even have language interpreters on our team that can make this process more seamless for patients with first languages other than English.
We help entrepreneurs and families get enrolled for health insurance plans by educating them about their options, and helping them choose a cost-efficient plan with the coverages they need.
Through the use of rideshare companies, we help patients get to and from their doctor's appointments, no matter the distance.
We’re determined to expand our services to as many minority communities as possible. There are at least 20 million people that we know need our help, and the number is growing – especially since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
